Then based off of last night's conversation, you were speaking on second-hand knowledge and speculation. You can read a book and listen to other people go on and on about how things should be according to their "expert" advice, but first-hand trumps all. Once you have a weapon on your side, the entire dynamic of the situation, interactions between you and the officer, and laws change. For instance, in Ohio, it is required that in any instance with police, you must inform them FIRST that you have a concealed license and tell them you have a weapon. If you do not tell them, it is a felony.
*edit*
While this is good information for just about any other situation, it is 100% counter-productive to the original argument made in vent.Last edited by Seventh Act; 09-20-2012 at 07:49 PM.

Look at my edit. I was editing that comment while you were replying to clarify what I meant.

Every state is different, every county is different and every interaction with the police is different, so were the conversations about the law. All "I" suggested was that I find this to be a type of "police state" behavior and that it is there to PROTECT the officers from evil dooers. It is childish to think that it is not also there to AID, FUND and PROFIT from citizen profiling. If we say it for protection then people will give up their liberties. Now while we can go back and fourth with John Doe VS State cases and Site sources of lawyers, and Lawmakers to back up what ever we want, but that's just unnecessary for someone just expressing how they feel about the law and those who enforce between those who propagate. The video was not intended to prove a point nor back up an opinion of anyone's feelings on the situation as it was more of a tool for those who might encounter a situation outside of a fair gun license state, jay walking or speeding ticket. =p As far as your feelings concerning knowledge being second hand or obsolete by comparison of an individual with experience I say this... It's easy for an experienced individual to discredit another based on experience in something. You are calibrated one way and I another. Where is there a wrong in that? As far as my experience goes. I think it fair to say that my feelings and opinions are more bias do to bad experiences. I assure you Seventh I didn't just jump on a "Fuck the Police" band wagon one morning. I've had enough altercations with the law to form my opinions and THAT is why I don't have a gun sir and I keep about me my wits.
